All joking aside, the latest flagship UHD set from Samsung is a sight to behold. Not only is it beautiful – it’s got the performance and features to back its good looks, boasting the best picture we’ve seen on a Samsung LED to date.
Available in 55, 65, and 78-inch size classes, the HU9000 gives us everything we look for in a great display, making it an easy pick for our May 2014 Featured Product.

While Samsung’s HU9000 is relatively new, it already has some great reviews on the Samsung website, with numerous comments praising the set for its bright display and realistic color.
LCD TV Buying Guide recently awarded the 65HU9000 a Picture Quality rating of 96/100, raving about the HU9000′s local dimming, Ultra Clear Panel, and sleek, attractive design.

Alright, we’ve held off long enough. You probably want to know what we think of that curved LED display. Does it really make a difference?
We believe you need to see it for yourself, but if you want our opinion: Yes, the curved screen makes a difference!
As with any display, the best seat in the house is front and center. However, off-axis viewing is as good you’ll get with any high-end, flat-screen display – if not better. While the curve does take some getting used to, once you adjust to it, the panoramic effect it creates is something else. Scenes feel more natural and immersive, something you hope for with any good television.
As always, Samsung’s Smart TV features and Smart Hub make it easy to access online content. Additionally, UHD Upscaling makes full HD content look better than ever, so you can still enjoy all of your existing movies and video games on your new UHD TV.
We really like how easy it is to upgrade the HU9000 using the Smart Evolution kit. When next year’s models roll out, you can keep your TV up to date with the latest features through an affordable add-on.
A quad-core processor helps the HU9000 boot four-times faster thanks to its “Instant On” feature, and if you’re one for multitasking, Quad Screen lets you access live TV, video clips, and the web all at once on a single display.
Finally, no special mount is required to hang the HU9000 on your wall. The display includes spacers that make it compatible with just about any wall mount designed for larger TVs.
